I think with my car the insurance basically go off the fact that anyone who has invested the time to build a car, plus the money involved..would be more likely to look after it and drive more sensibly. Plus your average scrote will look at it and won't have a clue how to nick it as he's never seen one before and even if he had, each builder...and therefore each car is different. Mines well immobilised. Garage stored. Limited mileage helps, but I put mine on unlimited as it wasn't much dearer.
