Hi,

I'm a newbie to this forum, recently I have decided that I would like to purchase a standard Fiat 500 (within the last 4years). I have looked into the car in depth, but I am a shorty so I was wondering if anyone knows the best pedal extensions (road legal) in the uk? I would be happy without one but I rather be safe then sorry .. so I would like people's opinion please.

Hi.
From 1st hand experience of 'adapting' the ergonomics of cars to suit a 1.5m / 4'10" frame

The panda and 500 should be fine..
There is a subtle weakness in the pedal mechanisms ( so they can collapse in heavy impacts)
Making alterations to a car still in warranty may not be a great idea.

I'm 5'0" so in theory I should be okay? I just tried it the other day but I'm not entirely sure what it would be but the pedal just seemed a bit distant.. okay thank you

Pedal extenders are often used for disabled people. Some driving instructors have removable ones for teaching. Never needed them myself, so no details of a source, but if you do decide to try some, research car disability aids, or something similar. Motability might be a good start, as they should be able to direct you to suppliers. There will likely be proper ones made to fit a 500.
