Hi there,

I recently bought an 04 Panda Dynamic for my daughter to start learning in,now it's started to get cold I've discovered that only cold air comes out of the heater! Can anyone advise?
Thanks.

Hi Jenny,
good choice of small car in the panda:)

with NO hot air there are 2 potential issues issues,

1, no hot water getting the the Matrix ( radiator) that warms the air inside the car = usually down to an air-lock

2, broken linkage inside the heater box, so the lever is stuck on COLD AIR request (n)

the #1 = airlock is the most comon, and thankfully the simplest fix,

with the engine cold,

have heater control in car to HOT
look for some little plastic screws built into the hoses behing the airfilter box,( BLACK plastic + round headed)
unscrew one to see what it does..!!

slacken the 2 of them off,
then top up your antifreeze in the Radiator expansion tank /tube to the MAX mark, replace Rad.Cap.

undo the 2 bleed screws around 1 turn EACH = then start the engine,
looking under the bonnet again you will see water start to trickle from these screws, as they dribble close the screw..!!,

depending how much air is in the system this may take a few minutes before it dribbles, ;)

beware of things getting HOT around you,

NO LONG scarves= etc, to get caught in the mechanicals,

Hi Charlie,
Wow thank you for your help,I was scared I'd bought a duff car! Will try this afternoon and let you know how I get on.

Jenny

I've only had my 2006 1.2 Dynamic a couple of weeks, and I find the heater one of the best I've experienced (maybe due to the fact there's not much space inside the car to heat up)!
So on that basis, if your heater isn't working there's definitely a heater problem as opposed to it being a bad design for the car or anything like that.
Good luck!
PS I want heated seats - anyone know if this is possible??
