been on hols down to weymouth in dorset and in my 10 days there i saw about 30 multi`s i waved at all and only 4 waved back (2 mk1 and 2 mk2 ) WOT A MISIRABLE BUNCH OF PEOPLE :cry:
 
I'm new to the Forum but this topic made me sit up. Just back from the Dordogne in my six year old JTD and it was like a Multipla convention (was there one?). What was noticeable was the number who flashed and waved. Dutch, French, Italians the lot. It hasn't happened in Scotland to me yet although there have been a few waves.

Anyway it's great to know there are so many of you out there that acknowledge other owneres.
 
I bought my Multipla today - have always liked the look of them. Saw twoothers on the journey home through sleepy Suffolk -and both waved at me!

I have always been a flasher and a waver, and I get the hump when people don't return the salute!

It used to happen in the early 90's when I ran a Pug 309 GTi, another "ugly" car, so I think it is part of being enlightened...

Hello. I'm looking for a Multipla at the moment, and my other car is a 2CV! Both share the same thing. They fly in the face of normality. Who wants gray bland euroboxes? Give me a 2CV or a Multipla any day.
 
Yes, flashing and waving is present also on the Adriatic coast. I spent a lot of time this summer and autumn in Montenegro and Croatia and most of Multipla that I met flashed and waived to me. It is so cool.
 
Ive allways flashed and waved! its nice when you see a entire family wave back :)

Anyone who spots a Green Multi in staffordshire/cornwall with p/p thats me!
 
I've owned a multi since february and we flash and wave other multi owner/drivers when we see them. Friendly folk are'nt we. see you on the road....
 
Hi Guys 'n' Gals ... my first post ...

I have always wanted a Multipla, (from way back) and am glad to say that last week I became the proud owner of a Grey Sept 2001 JTD Elx 110. I love it & was gob smacked when I was "flashed" a couple of days back, by another Multipla owner.

BTW .. great forum ;)

weve had our 'pla for 3 weeks now since our beloved estima bit the dust(overheated and caught fire!) and weve have had some flash and waves.takes me back to our townace days when people always flashed and waved and even pulled into laybys etc to talk "townie" , ahhh
 
Yup flash and wave too.

There seems to be plenty of happy Multipla owners round here.

I think we should badger Fiat into making the next generation Multi more "ugly"
the mark 2 is just a bit bland........don't you think?

It's the single most satisfing car we've ever owned. It's never let us down in the 2 years we've had it.
 
bought one a week ago,wife told me she had three waves in one day,and i thought it was only bikers that did the nod and wave
 
I've had my Mk2 Multipla for 18 months now and it's the best car I've had! My family love it and its a hit with my kids and their friends.

We always wave to other Multi's, but some Mk1 drivers fail to acknowledge us. Is this, as some other messages suggest, because our car is "a big Stilo", "a bit bland" or "like any other car from the front"? It's not as if we're comparing the old and new versions of the VW Beetle.

Having said that, I've always had a positive response from other Mk2 drivers. Perhaps we're becomming an elite group on our own?

We're all the same under the tin!

Hello out there! Aren't we the nicest drivers.
I have finally got my "pla" in may it was my 10th wedding anniversary pressie, 02 110 JTD was grey now PURPLE!!!

Lovely to see other people so happy with their cars, i'll wave and flash to all who'll notice (can't help but notice us now we're purple lol)

On a long journy from kent down to dorset back in may the three of us were sittting if the front of my multipla and started a game to see how many multipla's we could get to wave at us. i won because i could flash them:eek: .
I dont think i starded this but it been the best thing to keep my little one happy:D on long journys. (y)

I know what your saying the mk1 drivers don't seem to flash us mk2 drivers :confused:
