I won my Multipla on Ebay 2 weeks ago. We love the car, however I have possibly a silly question. Every now and then we get a bleep which could best be described as a bleep like a mico wave finishing. No error messages or lights. Just either a single or double beep from in front of the driver
It seeems to come at random times Can anyone suggest what it is.

Cheers - Pete

Hi Pete,

Our multi bleeps if you open the door when the car is still moving.
Cure: Childlock the rear doors to stop the kiddies trying to open them!

Also if you drive off with the handbrake on a bit - cure was to remind the missus that handbrakes are supposed to be on or off ;). Mind you, a light should come on in the instrument cluster too.

It did bleep a lot once just before the alternator packed up - a warranty job, thankfully!

Normally the dash display will flash a message when the computer bleeps. Have you got a manual for your multi? It might say something in there.

Cheers,

Lee

Press the AF-TA button on your radio so that the 'TA' does not show on the radio screen. (TA = Traffic Announcements) The beep sound should be gone now!
