Thanks for the nice comments.

She looks good jamaljalil - I've just ordered a debadged grill and looking to add a few little touches. I was tempted to go white with the wheels but unsure. I'm going to get busy with photoshop before I do anything drastic just to make sure it looks good. Unfortunately I've got an error code (see other thread https://www.fiatforum.com/punto-ii/330485-engine-failure-warning-car-running-sweet.html) which has become a priority. Just strange as the car runs like a dream!

Its nice to be part of an active forum and look forward to getting my car sorted and hopefully looking as good as some of the fine examples on here!

Hi Rhys, got myself a new purge valve but still trying to get myself a workshop manual for my model so I can do the work!
I have a new badgeless grill but it's a complete pain and none of the standard bolts fit properly! Got a red sunstrip and new head unit to fit.
I'll get there.

What about you, your motor ok mate?

Aohhw right cool cool mate:) and can i ask what is a Purge Valve?

No not going to good at the moment:/ Both My Airbag Lights have come on again for the 4th time after it being fixed. (n)

Ive had a new DAB Phillips in car stereo system which I'm loving at the moment :p

And Anyway At least one constellation is that I'm having a brand new LongLife Backbox... so hopefully will sound really nice and sweet. :slayer:

I will be posting a new thread/topic tomorrow of before and after so have a look out for my threads/topic. (y)

Thanks Rhys.

Hi Rhys,

Well things are going well, discovered that the purge valve is fine and it was just missing a fuse!

Fitted a new exhaust (started blowing at flexi) and the car is now running great! (touch wood)

I've debadged the front grill and thinking about lowering her. Not sure the best route tho as I've heard mixed reviews about coilovers?

How's the airbag light situation?

Hey Charlie,

Well things havent really gone too well, I writ off my Punto, smashed into a crash barrier on a motorway slip road (n) And my airbags didnt go off and I was going about 50mph when i smashed into it.

So atm got a Fiat Seicento Michael Schumacer 1.1 sporting. Its really nice and quick for a car that weighs only 739kg haha

Hopefully now get a 2004 ReanaultSport Clio 182 blue cant wait soon when my insurnace runs out on my Seicento.

That's awful, hope you are ok mate?

Scientos are pretty cool but being 6ft2 not very practical for me lol!

So you're done with Puntos then?

Yea everything is all good, and haha I bet they are a lot of fun round corners! And na never again Clio Sport 182 next for me I think mate! But might keep my Seicento Aswell as they are getting hard to get! There's only 558 Michael Schumacher edition left I think registered at the moment!

So it turns out my neighbours cat has been sleeping on my bonnet and it is now scratched to buggery :(

Thinking about touching it up but someone mentioned vinyl wrapping it.

Apparently its pretty easy and cheap to do. This has prompted me to consider a black bonnet. I had a quick play with photoshop but think it looks a bit boy racerish?

The scratches are very deep and pretty much circle the whole of the bonnet

Nah don't paint the bonnet black, it will look like you have replaced a damaged one with a second hand bonnet and not bothered to repaint it. It only looks good if it's actually carbon fibre, even then it depends on the car. That's my opinion anyway :)

know what?
i totally agree
i keep thinking of doing a yellow sided black top throughout punto but most people would probably think its a junkyard repair

You'd be surprised how much good a proper machine polish with a suitable compound would do (y)

The americans have some dust stuff, Shake way or shake away.
cats wont go near it,

my cat wont go on my car bonnet he slides off
he goes up in the engine bay instead.. they must like the warmth,.

my punto must of stopped leaking oil now as ive not seen any on the cats jacket
for awhile.. :)
