Punto (Mk2/2b) Blue Sporting MK2!

Introduction

This will be my third time that I’m making a topic the last two were seriously rubbish! So this one will be better I Promise. Well I bought a Blue Sporting MK2 around 2 months ago and thought id document what I have done.
This is what the car looked like when I got her what a stunner love her to bits compared to my 8v!

After a week I decide to take the rear badges off the car was the first thing that had to be done took me around 30 minutes.

Also took this stripe off which I have no Idea what the point of it was looks like a plastic bag but I removed it quite simple as well looks allot better.

3 weeks ago I decided to take the side stripes off are allot of persuading i took it off took around 2 and a half hours b ut it worked and it was worth it I stank of White spirit had cramps everywhere hands was killing me but it worked!

This is my head unit its nothing special but it works for what I want from it and it has blue tooth whoop J

This morning I lost my phone at the gym and some ass decided to take it turn it off so now I have no phon e. When I got home noticed that my special present had come home. My baby GSR had arrived love it two bits sounds amazing looks amazing feels amazing so yea it’s amazing. When it hits 5,000 RPM sounds like a VTEC it’s awesome!

I’ll take some more pictures tomorrow of it as the engine bay was messy so ill give it a good clean then show everyone ;) don’t want you to see my private parts when their dirty :p
alright mate, just wondering what did you use to remove that black plastic stuff off the door? did you do it the same as bump strips?

Firstly i heated it up with n hairdryer why my next door watched me in confussion. Then open the door heat a corer up pull it very slowly then heat it up again. Keep heating it then keep pulling and repeating the same process. If there is some gunk left over have some white spirit and a dirty cloth. Put small amounts on and brush it off. Then give the area or the whole car a wash after.

 to get that stuff off you have to rub pretty hard! DO not use white spirts that stuff with easly take the clear laquer off and ccould take the paint work off too.. get something called sticky stuff remover from halford for 5 pound it does the job nicely! or WD40

i found tcut worked quite well too for doing that

Well was doing my weekly checks and opened my bonnet and noticed my GSR had snapped the oil feeder. So did an little looking on eBay found a new one ordered it. Then I thought why not get some silicone to extend it across to stop it from snapping again. so i ordered 500mm silicone. Also ordered some mini filters as well.

All these arrived this morning no silicone pipe though for now. When these arrived I had a brain wave I plan to close that end of the GSR up so it blocks it so should give more pressure from the main intake area. Question is how and what to use to block of the GSR oil end. Im Thinking Wine cord with a jubilee clip on it.
For now ill just put the mini filters on each end just so it don’t suck up any crap. Plus been in desperate need to use my car lol.
This is what it looked like before i touched anything.

This is my make shift thingy for the time being. And also what I did ...
took the old feeder off soon as it uncliped easy to take off.

Placed the new one into the gap and tightend it with clips.

And this is what it looks like for now this will not stay like this its only temp so i can get my car going again.

Right ill ask again if anyone knows what i can use to clog that side of the GSR up and when my silicone arrives ill move that oil pipe to a better possition so it can get some fresh air aswell :)

Positive feedback negative or criticle all welcome :)

I thought the idea of the breather/oil tubing connecting to the airbox/ induction kit was there to provide oil into the throttle body to allow lubrication?

So doesn't that mean blocking it up is bad?
the oil that comes from your breather pipe gets burnt the fumes then the rest just clogs up your TB could get an oil catch tank which still burns the fumes but keeps the oil out of the TB

Well my silicone arrived today and had a little pilay with and this is what it looks like i think this is much better now.
