I've finally decided to sell my Marea Weekend JTD130 however I haven't the slightest idea how much I should ask for it and I can't find another for sale as a comparison. I will of course offer it on the classifieds on Fiat Forum first. I don't want to put it on ebay as it's just so expensive and unreliable.

It's a 2000 W reg in Burnt Orange with 72K miles.

It currently does not have an MOT or Tax but as I don't think it will need much I guess I'll probably MOT it first although I won't put any tax on it. I'll probably treat it to a set of tyres as well. In the last two years it's only been up and down my drive to keep everything from seizing up so I may also have to have a look at the brakes as well as the discs will have surface rust.

The good points are:
Oil changed every 6000 miles. In the 20,000 miles since I've owned it I've had the belts changed, recon gearbox and new clutch (you can see my old posts for the story behind this) new droplinks and lots of other bits when needed. Also it has a spare alloy as well as the space saver spare. It also has a detachable towbar and a bike rack that fits in place of the towball.

The only bad points I can think of are that the aircon doesn't work (broken pipe). There's a hole in the leather on the drivers seat. There may be some wear in the front wishbones but I've already bought a pair - just not had the time to fit them. Theres a small piece of damage to the rear bumper plastic next to the hole for the towing eye.

If anyone can give me a guide as to how much I should ask for it with an MOT I'd appreciate it.
Also a price as is would be useful as I'm not sure if I will have the time to do much of the work needed.

Why sell, if its a good car, better the devil you know.

Just bought the wife a 130JTD weekend and very impressed with it.
However ours needed welding on the floor which I didn't spot when we bought but still a good motor.

car was £500 with short tax and test
replaced and overhualed all the brakes and suspension put it through an mot and it passed easily.
To date I got £1500 in it but I know it's all been done and done right.

I have to admit that I don't really want to sell it. I've probably owned over 30 cars and without doubt this is the nicest to drive (although my Mini's are the most fun).
I've taken it to France twice, covering 2,500 miles each time in two weeks. I never felt fatigued, even after covering 770 miles in one day and with a 2400cc engine still managed 50 mpg.
However I bought a Doblo some time ago. The intention was to use the Marea as a tow car but my caravan is light enough to be towed by the Doblo so the Marea is just sitting on my drive. I thought about selling the Doblo instead but it's just so practical, a van, a car and a seven seat MPV in one.

I would prob be very intrested for the right price,

I have a w reg 130jtd in burnt orange too but need some parts and mine has done 156k miles!

I would be intrested as a part swapper for a less mileage engine

I guess that's an option but I feel it's far too good to break.

I've spent some time with it in the last week and there's not too much to do now before I take it to be MOT'd. I've found that some parts were nowhere near as bad as I'd feared, although I've found that the rear wiper motor has completely seized. I guess it's probably unserviceable but I'll strip it and have a look anyway.

I was expecting the brakes to be completely shot, however they look and perform OK (probably because I did keep moving the car up and down my drive every couple of weeks). The discs have only light surface rust which will clean off. I will change the pads as a matter of course.

Also I think I've remembered why I like the car so much. At the moment I'm actually considering going back to using it as my daily driver and possibly selling my Doblo which was bought to replace it.

You know it makes sense, get rid of that ugly Doblo van thing and keep the sleek, quite rare now 130JTD, not that I'm biased or owt.

The rear wiper was completely seized on our 130 aswell, took some persuading biut it now works fine, there is a guide somewhere on here I'm sure might even be the Bravo boys.
Do a search..
