I was in the fiat showroom the other day looking at punto's and noticed one called dynamite, but have since bn told there is also a dynamic, are these upgrades to the punto active, or what?

Yes there is a Dynamic, this is a trim level/enginedifference, just like S, SX, ELX, EX, Active, sporting, GT, HGT. you get the picture, but there is a Dynamic.

Ive never heard of a Punto Dynamite......

Hmmmmm, Dynamic Dynamite. Can't beat that combination.! Could be just a short term special seires that adds a bit more equipment to an existing trim level. Why not ask the dealer and report the answer here?

Think it might have been the Dynamic, can't find any references to a Dynamite on the web but I'm willing to be proven wrong if anything does come up.
