I have an 06 Grande Punto and i need advice on buying new alloys, if i go bigger do i need to lower my car as my friends said i do but i dont see why, i need a second opinion.

All help is apreciated, thanks

If you go for larger diameter alloys, then you just have to change profile of the new tyres you're putting on the rims.

You should aim to get an equivalent rolling diameter otherwise you'll throw out your speedo. It'll read incorrectly and show the wrong mph etc.

If you do this right then the wheel arch gap shouldn't be any difference, and no need to lower the car.

Mind you it was the first thing I did with my new car is lower the car. Made it look much better and runs the corners better. Lower the car if you want to, but regardless of the alloy/tyre combination.

So if i buy the wheels that are specified under 06 Fiat punto, ill be fine? as presumabley they will havethe right diameter?
