Has anyone doe any learn direct courses, are they any good?

What would I have to do?

I want to up my grades from GCSE and maybe do a language, or is there something similar course i could do, i dont want it interfering with my full time work, so learing from home would be best for me

i thought about that, its just more difficult with me being between rochdale and oswestry, the class i wanted to do is on a friday so its a PITA to go from warrington to rochdale (25miles) then rochdale back past warrington to Oswestry (90 miles) so thats 115 miles

I recently had a look at the learndirect courses and found that many did not actually give you a proper certification at the end of it. At the end of the day - you want something extra on your CV which will be recognised. Learndirect didnt seem the place for me.

So.....I recently enrolled at Wigan College. 3 hours a week for 2 years and hopefully I will have a Cisco CCNA :D

i would approach your local colleges about open learning courses,.colleges are pushing these now as they are more cost effective for them.
really depends on the course as to how much attendence would be required, something like a language may need more as the spoken part of the course would need interaction. could always hook up with a foreign student and to a trade of teaching english while they teach you there language.

Working with this kind of query everday I will College is the best bet, close by and not as expensive as you think, plus some have funding available even if you are employed!

Good luck.

Liam
