That's what is so good about the A5. Dunno about the j3 but the A5 has same battery as an S8 but with a much smaller processor and less fancy screen so it has amazing battery life.

I must say, so far, I'm extremely pleased with this J3, especially the battery life!

If you dont use the office apps - disable them, uninstall any updates for them before you disable them - you can free up around 1GB of space that's used by these, my partner has the same phone and less than a week after buying it - the memory was full...

I also use a J5 (work phone) and it's fine, not the best but does everything i need and yea - i can get about 3 to 4 days out of a full charge, dont use it much though.

If I do that though, won't I risk ballsing up the phone? In the past, I've uninstalled/disabled factory apps, and I get a warning saying it could cause other functions to fail. I wonder if doing that is what started my S3's gradual demise.

If you've got your back ups set properly just factory reset every once in a while and it keeps them running nice. You can then just let it reinstall everything you wanted and untick stuff you don't.

It's usually sent to the cloud via your email address you set up when you log into your phone for the first time.

Or it is if you set it up mine runs over night.

You don't have to, if I recall correctly you get 15gb free along with a Google drive if you buy an Android phone.

If you set it up then all your photos, texts, calls app settings e.t.c. get backed up to it. When you reset or get a new phone, you just log in and it'll make your new phone like your old one.

I have no idea how to use backups, lol!

I don't know how many years my junior you are, but seriously! I though that younger people are supposed to know how to work all new technology by default !!

"Alexa! Turn the lights on" "ok google put the kettle on" "Cortana read me the news I can't see without my specs" "Siri..... we won't ask you to do much you'll only get it wrong"

No - it will be fine, just dont disable apps relating to the system.
The microsoft office apps take up huge chunks of space when you update them.

The reason they do this is...
1 = When you buy the phone, turn it on - the office apps are just stubs, not the full apps, more like a shortcut to them in the app store.

2 = Even though they are stubs, the app store see's them as installed apps and wants to update them when updates are available.

Best thing to do - uninstall the updates then disable the apps (stubs).

Yea same here... tossing and turning, woke up feeling hot and flustered, no lie in after a manic week at work... Beer is much needed to help cure my night ;)

Not an option for me as yesterday was Wednesday for me.

Did a spot of retail therapy instead. ;)
