| 2003 Fiat Punto Active custom head unit Hello there, first post! I came across this site looking for info on switching the stock Blaupunkt CD player out of a 2003 Fiat Punto Active. It looks moulded into the dash, I want to stuff a snazzy looking one from eBay in its place... how am I supposed to go about this? I doubt I'm supposed to dremel around it and rip it out :P I'm picking the car up on Wednesday (yup, not got it yet) but I don't want to hang around too long with the normal head unit. Also I know nothing of the wiring back there... the car has a little 100w sub in the boot, will that need extra attention at all? Any help appreciated! Cheers.

| taffy git | Re: 2003 Fiat Punto Active custom head unit you will need a punto facia, can get them from any audio shop or fiat - this will take the shape of the moulded surround so a DIN sized headunit can fit in the hole to take out original headunit, you will need radio removal tools, they cost about £2 from halfords, or you can make something up with cocktail sticks. the removal tool goes into the 2 holes on either side of the original headunit you will probably need a wiring adaptor, this again is available from most audio shops i cannot see a problem with the new headunit not being able to power the factory fitted sub
