Hi Guys

Ive just bought my first fiat, a Bravo Trofeo 2000 model. Really loving it already but i cant seem to remove the stereo. Its an aftermarket Sony Stereo so its fitted with the conversion fascia (see below link) and i just cant get it out. Ive managed to unclip the bottom edge of the fascia but thats it. Can anyone help? Also, is there any way of fitting the stereo to fit flush with the rest of the central panel? i dont like the way the stereo is set back about a ft haha.

Thanks in Advance

Just to clarify, im removing this stereo to replace it with my own, much better stereo

OK, so have you removed the Sony unit? Until that's out, you won't be able to get the fascia panel out. When installing a new stereo, you put the fascia in the car first, then insert the cage, then push the stereo into the cage, so removal would be the reverse of that.

If you haven't got the Sony unit out yet, you need to get the correct removal keys. You can get them on eBay but Halfords will usually let you borrow theirs for free.

Edit: If you want the stereo to sit further forward, you're going to have to fabricate your own fascia.

Thanks for the reply.

No the Sony unit is still in, so I need removal keys...Great! Gone are the days of the stereo just popping out like my old Matiz haha.

The unit I have is meant to fit flush with the central consoe. It's a single dinner but it has a drop down screen that won't function if it sits back where the current stereo is. O run a charity and the stereo is our tracker and sat nav plus a whole load of other thongs so it's essential that it goes in
