1.9 multijet 130 hp ....Right I have changed every thing on the front like wish bones /struts and top strut bearings/drop links n still have a knocking n now have a mad vibrating like the drive shaft is coming out but the vibrating is only there when I change gear with the clutch n free rolling with the car out of gear is the only time n feel it can any one help please as I am stuck I have just ordered a new drive shaft but not sure if it is definitely that

Yep changed that last month n bought a powerflex mount to stiffen it up as well

Unlikely but have you checked the wheels and tyres too?

Relatively easy if you swap front to rear as a test.

No rumbling from wheelbearings?

No I ant checked them as I have just refurbished them n had the tiers tuck off to do them properly so I don't think it is them as they have only bin back on about a month all balanced n nah no rumbling from wheelbearings it sound like the drive shafts is moving side to side if that make sense with like a clapping sound

Could be worn driveshaft. Easy(ish) to swap out so see what happens when you have replaced it

Ordered new one today was only 98 pound so when it comes will change then over n see what's what n let you know thank for trying to help top man ??

Put me car on axle stands other day n got me woman to sit in side n put it in gear like she was driving down the road n it was like the car wanted to lock up but not the engine like a drive shaft or me gearbox plus the traction control like come up on dash as well so tuck the car off the axle stand drove it n the knocking has gone for now ? must be the fiat fairly that's fixed it as am puzzled as what it can be
