Interested to know if there are any easy ways to reduce the interior noise levels. On certain road surfaces the general noise level in my car are higher than I would of expected. I have checked for obvious openings and door and window seals all look ok

YEs, tyres are the simplest change to make. They have noise ratings now, so look for the ones with the lowest noise rating. Failing that, sound deadening. It would be a lot of work, but see if you could get the carpets and underfloor sound deadening from a higher-spec model. Anything you can add over the wheelarches in particular would be good. Also make sure the tailgate is pulled down had against its seal. When we first got my daughter's car, the striker on the body was loose and there was a slight gap.

Thanks, I was hoping that there maybe a diesel pack of extra bits I could go get from a parts or scrap yard. Bonnet pad or other bit of interior sound deadening

The wheel arch liners do not look up to much .

Are there any guides or help on what I can do with them?

My tyres are 175/65 r15,s bridgestones on frt and imperial eco drives on the rear. But I don't want to spend all that dosh straight away if I can get away with it . But nice to know if we get to a tyre change

No it does not, thanks, I will have a look for one are they only on diesels or higher spec ones?

Had a good look today and my car has had an under tray , you can see where the fixings have been. So another £30 upgrade from eBay.

Under trays are often fitted by the manufacturer to help get through the noise test, but I'm not sure how much difference they make to noise INSIDE the car.

Easiest way I know... Leave "her indoors" INDOORS! Reduces noise and whines to a minimum!

I would agree with being sceptical about how much difference it will make to the noise levels. But after driving over a relaid road at 20 mph the sound of the road clippings and then thinking of going through s large puddle has convinced me the undertray will do nothing but good

Just fitted the cover and only then realise I am also missing the lhs cover..
But it does not seem to cover the complete underneath and the are still gaps on the hrs.
I will have to go have a look under a few in car parks unless anybody can give me some pics?

Changed the oil at the same time and made a complete mess of it and covered my drive in oil jet washing for me tomorrow
