Morning apologies that my first post is asking for help but I'm running out of idea's with a problem with my 2007 T Jet.

When you turn hard left at speed (or low speed while accelerating) you get a nasty grinding/rubbing noise on drivers side. I have a sound clip which hopefully will demonstrate this better than describing but cannot put link in yet as not got 5 posts - happy to share if anyone wants to hear this

So far I have tried 2 driveshafts - one cheap new one and a used low mileage Fiat one with no difference. It doesn't sound clicky like a CV joint in my opinion. I have also changed the top mount on drivers side and new drop links both sides.

The bearing does not have any play although I did think possibly the bearing could be failing under load. I have not noticed any normal bearing noise while driving so not sure about this.

I have also firstly bent back and then totally removed the drivers side brake dust shield in case this was rubbing but no difference.

Does anyone else have any other idea's?? shock? The discs are lipped slightly but I cant see anywhere where its been rubbing. I've also looked under the wheel arch and cant see any tyre interference

thanks in advance :bang:

to add I have today changed discs and pads as old discs had big lips. Noise still there leaning towards wheel bearing under load? Can't be much else rotational to change

Hi, I've just joined and this is one of the first posts I've seen. My 2009 T-Jet has the same problem! Only once in a blue moon though. It sounds like when you dip your finger in wine and run it around the top of the glass and it makes that horrible sound. ? and just like yours, it's if I take a hard left or put the steering on full lock in reverse. Let me know if you find a cure!

will do its in garage at moment having wheel bearing changed. Running out of ideas!

wheel bearing made no difference - at a loss now thinking a gallon of petrol and a lighter being the next option!

well its finally sorted it was an engine mount causing engine to move and put pressure on shaft/cv joints. Can enjoy car again
