Getting pretty tired of the problems....

Basically washed the car, took it for a spin round the block and now it wont turn off with the key.. i have to either stall it or pull out the engine control relay.

Had a look around the fusebox and the AA out and have a look, he reckons it might be the ignition barrel but i was wondering if anybody else has had the problem and what I should do.

Going to take it to my local indie tommorow morning but an idea of possible issues would be good!

Mine did this a couple of years ago (not done since)
Stealers found that having the car in reverse gear when turning the ignition off was a workaround.
saves stalling it on purpose if it works

Cheers mate. Just got into the car to take it up to the local indie and it all works as normal and will turn off again. Looks like water was in the fusebox just wondering now how many times its managed to get in there i hope its not corroded.

Started the car this morning and it turns off on the key so im pretty sure your right. What the procedure for pulling the fusebox out?

Disconnect battery, pull multiplug out from the bottom and then undo the nut in the top left of the fusebox and it will slide out?

Yup just undo the nut, remove cable, slide the fusebox on the side and disconnect the plugs.
