No, it didn't. Payment was done 21. and seller asked for 10 additional days to build the unit as he doesn't have it on stock. He has all the optional things I ordered for now, just waiting for the radio to be build. And he also said that the unit has been upgraded to quad core processor now.

Little bit cheeky there! [emoji23] was the unit range upgraded or just yours for being delayed? Not bad, let us know how it goes I would love to see how your one ends up looking! [emoji3]

About upgrade, I don't know, no one is advertising quad core. The seller gave me no choice about taking 2 core version immediately or waiting for 4 core, he just said that it will be delayed for this reason.

Don't worry, I will post a pictures of wireless camera place, wireless transmiters (where remote wires are taken), ELM327 BT screenshots (must first find good app for Android). I hope it comes until next weekend and go fast thru customs as they are slow as fu** in Slovenia.

Looks good yes, also hobDrive.
Chinese still didn't finished the unit :(

Ja, they are unbeliveable, nothing moving forward. I think seller is trying to tell that they has stoped producing 2-core HU and now they are developing 4-core HU but in meantime they have nothing to sell.

Alright as long as you get the 4 core one without the price being increased! [emoji106]wonder why it's still listed though if they've stopped production for a newer model?

IDK, yes, no increase in price 300€ for HU, best rear opel astra camera, elm327BT and wireless transmiter for it. In description is 2core, I will get 4core and I will complain that 'item not as described'. Will get 50€ back ;) hahaha joke

Eh, if the software does not know how to use 4cores it will still run on just 2 cores. Seller said all is the same, even software, but I don't know if this is true - I hope manufacturer knows what he is doing as they made more other types 4core units :)))

Sooo, DHL says 'Shipment information received' and seller that the item was sent. I think it somewhere between China and Singapore's DHL facility. :)

If it runs on Android I'm sure it'll run fine with no problems and fully utilise whatever hardware it's got.

Hope all goes well installing it, let us know how you get on :)

Hi - here we go :-

The Head unit has a Canbus connection - somehow it disables the Fiat Blue&me system as all the steering wheel controls now control the New Head unit bluetooth functionality (+ radio / volume etc).

Hope that helps - if you need anything else just ask :)

hi! is your unit android, or wince? can you post the exact functionality for windows and phone buttons?
I have an android 4.4 unit and I upgraded my steering wheel controls from 6 to 8 buttons, and it does not work as expected. I changed the status in body computer and ran PROXI alignment, but I guess it won't work without blue&me.

I have installed mine Android 4.4.4 unit now. Have some problems and troubles with panel pushing inside hole, stopped on last centimeter. I had to cut an edge of automatic clima and a little edges on the radio itself to push it fully in, but still with to much force and without the side locks. They should measure and compare to original radio :)

Also I am having some problems with reversing camera. Remote wire for external amplifier is probably not strong enough to power the camera, as voltage drops to 6V in half a minute and then the signal is lost. It is strong enough for amplifier waking up. And also it looks strange as the LEDs of camera are always on, not only when reversing. It is logic, but I didn't thinked about that before buying it :)

So, all the functions working now, installed as it meant to be, must find some good EQ settings, or install some good app for sound, but generaly all OK. :)

As my job is quality approving and software programming I can do very detailed report, but I don't want to reveal and spoil everything for future buyers as then it will not be so interesting anymore. Generally I am happy with the product and options, but there were many small problems. Still worth 300€.

Good to hear it all went alright in the end!

I would love to hear how it went, and some photographs of your finished install. (y) I don't mind it being spoiled, rather that than a costly brick!

Hi Guys
New hear
Just bought my Grande Punto Eleganza and love it.
I have been reading about these this thread about the new radios from aliexpress but I have some questions that I can see have already been asked but not answered (I don't think so anyway)

Do the steering wheel controls still work as normal?
Do you have to keep connecting bluetooth manually every time you get in the car?
Does it fit perfectly?
Has anybody bought a grey/silver model as my dash surround is not black?
Thanks
Ian

I don't have one, but I've seen nearly every section on this thread in hopes for even more decent pictures.

Depends on which one you buy, but some of the listed ones posted in this thread are supplied with a converter that lets you hook up the stalk controls. How they interact fully I'm not sure, but there is an option.

Does it fit perfectly?
Looks like it fits well from the first photo in the thread. Some users reported having to file down non-visible plastic elements for it to fit snug, and the plastic itself might be different from the car plastic - but shape and colour wise it looks like a good fit (going by the first (Windows CE) one).

Ordered one recently. Steering wheel controls do indeed work, you can change a setting so that you don't need to connect the Bluetooth each time and the fit is fine. You may need to file the plastic down a bit though as mentioned, I did with mine
