Hey guys, recently moved from an 04 Punto 1.2 Active, to a 59 Grande Punto 1.4 Dynamic... Lovely car :)

The car has part service history, and seems in really good nick, just got it through an MOT with no advisories etc, but it's at 72,000 miles and I can't find a cam belt change in the history. I'm not great with engines, but is there a way I can find out if it's been changed? I hear some people label the mileage on a new belt, if so, where would I find the belt to check?

Running on the assumption it hasn't been changed, then I'll need to get that done asap, and am I right in thinking it's also worth getting the water pump done too? Anything else I should look out for?

Any tips would be more than welcome.

Cheers :)

Just an update, I got the water pump changed, along with the fan belt and cam belt, and the Air Con re-gassed and dye injected (just in case there was a leak, as it hadn't been working since I bought the car).

All in for just under £300.

Although apparently there's some moisture at the bottom of the radiator and the coolant is going down a little quick, so that's next.
