I drove my car fine yesterday and no problems what so ever.
I jumped in this morning, turned the key and the normal lights didnt even light up. Ie the oil, engine management etc. The clock also was on when I got in but then died when I turned the key on.
The petrol gauge/ temp gauge were vibrating up and down as well and a clicking sound was coming from the dash.
Any ideas as to what is wrong?
I had to dash to work so will call out the AA tonight as im a member.

Yep, sounds like your battery is completely flat.

I had the AA out to mine when it happened as my little Halfords power-pack wasn't up to jump starting it.

The AA bod will check the circuitry for you, tell you whether you need a new battery or not, and assuming it's just completely flat, jump start it and tell you to go drive around for 20-minutes.

In my case, I suspect some water (from a jetwash) had caused a short and drained the battery. It's been fine ever since.

cheers captain!
As luck would have it, yesterday we had an absaloute shedload of rain in about 30 mins and I did drive during it! Could be the course!
I have free AA as through my work so fingers crossed!
