Hi all,

I was thinking about getting some Abarth headlights (with the black surrounds) from the same year range as my 2006 GP (1.4 8v).

I was thinking about getting these:

Sorry about the link by the way, but I was just wondering if anyone could help clear up the connections, because of this being Abarth headlight would they fit any different or have a different pin pattern from my standard GP.

Thanks in advance!

They have different numbers of pins in the plugs depending on if its a series 1 or 2 car.

Yours is a series 1 which is a 14 pin connector which is yellow inside.

The later S2 ones (roughly mid 2008 onwards) have a 7 pin purple connector.

The later ones can be made to fit but its easier if you buy the S1 lights to begin with.

The ones in your link look like the right ones for your car based on the date range given

Yes mate, Abarth headlights only differ in colour.

As long as you buy the same series lights as your car they are a straight swap. Hardest bit is taking the front bumper off

That's great thanks for clearing it up the guy on eBay didn't help me with understand the pins, thanks the lord for fiat forum! Hahaha

Yeah mate make sure you buy the correct connector for your series (series 1 in this case). I had a nightmare when I bought abarth headlights; my car is 58 reg and everything looks like the series 2 but it must of been produced in the cutover and some parts are from series 1... turns out I bought s2 headlights for my s1 connection! Had to source these haha... s2 connectors.JPG. But yeah those headlights seem ok. Might be worth dropping them an email or something, checking they're for the 14 hole 7 pin version (series 1 connection).

I bet that was annoying, but yeah I emailed them asking what the connection was and gave them my reg, they told me it was a 14 hole 7 pin connection so I'll be buying them on pay day! Role on Ahhhh
