Changed the oil + filter a few weeks ago and noticed what looked like bubbles on the inside of my expansion tank. Checked last night to find the coolant level below the minimum. Not sure if that would indicate a head gasket problem or even a cracked cylinder case (quest case) or just the coolant boiling over. After checking the nick of the oil and the filter I don't think the coolant has been changed anywhere near the service time. It's still clear and doesn't look like it is contaminated. If I feel like there's no mechanical faults, just the coolant boiling over then I'll go ahead and do a flush and coolant change. Any thoughts/ideas would be much appreciated. Should point out its just about to hit 95,000 miles.

Coolant should not boil. Maybe it's time to replace.

Flush the old and put some new, then look for air inside the expansion tank or decreasing level. (After getting the air out of the system)

Yeah I figured that much out haha. 3 litres of Paraflu Up should be delivered in the next day or two :) how would you bleed the air out of the system?

Yeah saw the guide already haha forgot it had the bleeding stages on it. And radiator fan is working fine.

Coolant has just been delivered, I'll give it a flush and change tomorrow! :)

Remember you have to mix it 50/50 with water (distilled preferred)

What it should look like (bottled, don't worry old bottle that's been cleaned and bone dry for the last 2 weeks and yes it was distilled water I used) and what came out in the basin... safe to say it needed a change.
