Hi all!

Recently bought a white 09 plate, 1.4 8v GP... Been stalking the forum for a bit but finally plucked up the courage to make an account and post :p

Hardly touched the car since I've had it, the window tint was done by the previous owner which was a bonus and was looking at possibly getting a set of rear abarth lights. I'm hoping for a bit of guidance because I'm far from an expert but I'm learning! Apart from the obvious (lowering, alloys etc.) I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what else I could do?

Hopefully I can attach some pics, crap quality but haven't had a chance :(

Thanks x

(I'm not sure if I've put this in the right section, I did post but went to another part of the forum.. Oh god I'm making a mess of this )

Welcome to the forum, nice car!

Abarth rear lights are a good call, i would keep the standard headlights as there isnt much difference between yours and the Abarth ones (i changed mine so i know).

Your tints look really good, no lifting over the dot matrix, which has always put me off having mine done

Welcome to the forum

Nice looking GP there. I wouldn't do much to it to be honest it might ruin the look it already has

Hello mate welcome to the forum and welcome to the GP family. Nice looking car the GP in white (y) I am sure you will get all the ideas you need and more from the members motors section :)

Thank you all! :D

Lewisgroombridge - Thanks! Yeah I have had a look about, I got a few ideas but I just need the $$$$ :(

middo85 - Yeah I don't see the point in changing the headlights either, I've been told the same :)

Nem66 - I don't want massive changes, just subtle things to make it more 'mine' you know?

SJB1985 - I'm sure I've seen your car on Instagram, very nice :D

lou5590 - Haha I don't hear of many about!

Thanks again everyone!

The only thing that changes on abarth lights are the pink plastic over the indicator is clear.... that's it. Evo lights do fit but require rewireing :)

And I got a 1.4 8valve :) so now you know someone else who has one haha

Well that's my dilemma. At first I didn't see the point, cos they are more or less the same like you said, apart from the section at the top.. But the more I think, I wouldn't mind because I'm only looking for subtle changes plus, the lights are not as expensive as I thought.. I DO like the Evo lights, I think I'd prefer them but wasn't sure if they'd fit :\ deffo something I'm gonna look into now, thank you for clearing that up :)

Actually they are also a darker shade of red.. Not just the clear bit that's different
I do like tinted rear lights but I heard it's really difficult to get it right when you do it yourself, so sort of put me off :\ or am I wrong? Like I said, I'm no expert so I really don't want to mess up :(

I'm only trying to find differences because I got them :).. They are nice.. Probably not worth the money I paid.. But they look nice haha

They are quite a bit darker as well, look much better.

EVO lights look good in the dark but rubbish in daylight when switched off IMO.

Some of the aftermarket lights look ok but i prefer the Abarths as they are subtle

Those are mine it's all about patient and nice even coats don't spray heavy last thing you want is runs which ruin the look :( swear your on my instagram? Lovely looking car :)

Well IF I was to do the lights I was gonna practice first.. But now I feel spoilt for choice, I dunno which to pick haha :p

Yeah I mp am, I follow quite a few people and thanks a lot! :)

Well obviously the lights :p maybe spray/wrap the number plate panel.. I'd love new alloys and to have it lowered but I'm still at uni so my money only goes so far :(

Then just like little things for the interior, although I did see a punto with Alfa Romeo red leather seats ? and ever since I've been on the lookout haha
