In she came tonight to inform me she had now done 200 miles, i asked if anything had fallen off yet, the chucked a shoe at me....LOL. Mind you her parting shot was that the car could do with a wash......daddy (sheesh).

Just one question folks, I've been through the handbook and looked around the car for the tyre pressures for the 16in fitted to the GP. Does anyone know the pressure or where to find it on the car.

cheers Ian

2.2 bar/32 psi in the front

2.0 bar/30 psi in the rear for light load

2.2 bar/32 psi in the rear for heavy load

Mine are set to 32 psi all 'round, even though I rarely do heavy loads.

Which model is it and which engine does it have?

Dont over - inflate tyres you reduce the contact patch size & wear out the centre of the tyres much more quickly for no gain really.

The numbers I gave are correct, according to my owner's manual, for all 15 & 16 inch tires on all petrol cars.

Diesel and 17 inch tires are inflated to higher numbers, 1.9 diesels are even still higher.

Its a 1.3 m/jet, model is a GP.
The only reason I asked was that they seemed as hard as bricks when I gave them a kick last night, (old testing havits die hard).
Apart from that it all seems to be screwed together well enough, and no ratles.

Cheers Ian

:( 32 psi or 34 psi will be absolutely fine.. your tyres will last longer, better fuel economy..

1.3 m-jet with 16 inch wheels is;

2.3 bar front and 2.1 bar rear for light loads

2.4 bars all around for heavy loads
