Styling De-tengo head lights

I have been thinking this since before there were any black headlights around :p

I saw it done on a MK5 Golf back in 2005/06 and thought it was a great idea.

Then more recently, thought about colour coding the inside of the lamp to whatever colour car you have, saw it done on a 206 GTI and thought it looked smart.

I dont understand why the guy baked them but then still used a dremel to cut them out, anyone care to explain as the end result looks great.

Looks like he baked the lens off then had to dremel the chrome/silver inner out.......

WIN or FAIL :chin:

hmmm i probably need to translate?

here we go

1. Haal je koplampen van je auto of koop een setje van een forum lid
2. Bekijk en bestudeer de lamp en concludeer dat het lastig gaat worden
3. Na het afbakken in een grote oven besluit je toch de dremel te pakken

1. Remove your headlights or get a buy a extra set of a forummember
2. Give the headlight a quick look and realise that it's gonne be difficult
3. After baking the headlight you realises that baking doesn't work so you get your dremel

4. Use the dremel to cut out the light (about 1cm under the edge)
5. Work carefully and don't force anything
6. After seperating both halfs try to get the reflecter out (in one piece)
7. De-grease the reflector with thinner or something similar.
8. use some tape to protect other surface you DON'T want to paint
don't forget the triangular thingy in front of the main lamp
9. Spray paint in any colour you like

o and don't cut the headlight inside your house (garage, outside) It's pretty messy)
