Cant seem to find any info about any engine mods for the 8v 1.4L GP. Isnt this version imported to the UK?

The GP isnt as known here in Norway, so i come here for some inspiration on how to mod my new GP, so: any tips for engine upgrades? Air-filters and so on, and how much could I gain? (if any :p)

Yes he does. Over in the UK we all would recommend GSR and REDDOT for induction and remap. You could buy the induction kit and they could post it to you. Or see if anywhere locally do remap's. All GP's are imported to the UK as they are made in Italy. lol There are different engines... 1.2, 1.4 1.6 ( soon to be released I think ) and the 1.9 (Diesel only) There are other engine mods you can do like change the pipe work to coloured piping. Use google and this site to get ideas. (y)

Thanks for the info. Here in Norway the licensed Fiat dealers only import the 1.2L 8v and the 1.4L 8v, for some reason not the 16v

But nobody with the 8v version of the 1.4L in UK/on FF?

And will a inductionkit give me any bost in performance at all?

Might add around 7-12 bhp and some more torque, and also makes the engine sound nicer aswell. Could it do with vehicle laws? Or they trying to make them more greener, keeping the engines less powerful...

7 - 12

dont be daft.

does sound nicer though.

took my gsr kit off the other day as im selling the car and it actually feels quicker with the standard airbox on

Not sure why, but think its because the insane high import rates here which is calculated by the amount of horsepower. Would much rather have the 16v.

Anybody know which kit is the best? I see the K&N promise a massive 4 BHP increase at theyr page: http://www.knfilters.com/news/news.aspx?ID=474

Any other manufacturers i should consider?

True (y).

I just came over some info on the web that the K&N kit just sucks in hot air, but the GSR kit is mounted different so it works better. Anybody know if this is true?

The k&n is just a filer sat on the throttle body whereas the gsr is a proper twin cone filter with a custom made silicone pipe for the model of your car.

The k&n would probably show next to no gains and the gsr around 3-5 if that

Thanks for the advice guys!

Will contact them.

Btw: Is it hard to fit? Im no mechanic
