Took a one week pass course at 18. (1992)

Bought a CBR600FR in 1997 - excellent bike!

Bought a ZZR1100D4 in 2000 - fast but crap handling, don't buy one.

Currently have a Gilera Runner 180cc scooter - ****in' scream. Especially cause the 180cc badges have fallen off, so it looks just like a 50cc Runner. Great for upsetting car drivers.
It will beat the pants off any (I repeat any!) Bravo or like car up to 50mph. Top speed 75mph and makes a bloody racket on full throttle. £105 TPF&T - bargain.
I have more fun on the 75mph Gilera than on the 175mph ZZR1100, and am more likely to retain my license.

One tip Chris, if you decide to buy a bike.....watch out for anyone wearing a hat whilst driving (especially in a Volvo!)

Passed my test 4 years ago. Have just had my current bike for a year now it's a KLR 250 I did have a GS500e which was a great bike and very underrated (it doesn't wheelie in every gear and only does 110 mph so the biking press don't like it). But I always wanted a trials bike for green laneing + being a 250 the tax is cheaper also it has a nice loud exhaust for scaring the **** out of horses as I live in the New Forest.
