Knocked off my bike again :-(...UPDATE

fYes chaps, got knocked of again this time in london, almost a month after the other one, this time though, done my ribs, left ankle and right elbow, extremely sore but very lucky, as it happnened at the goswell road/old street cross roads which is very busy, lucky for me the lorry managed to stop otherwise they would of been scraping me up of the floor!

My Marin is Fubar'd and the women that took me off drove off!!!! still got tremadol (morphine) again, Co Dydramol agian and Ibuprfen for the pain plus this gel stuff!

In a lot of pain but will be ok, just sore and a slightly battered confidence.

Ouch, hope you're fit and well as soon as. My mate got knocked off his bike last friday, broke his shoulder. That driver drove off too. Just horrendous that people can do that.

Thanks Chaps for your support, looking at getting a new bike now, a CUBE ANALOG, anyone got any experience of these, i am a marin man through and through but fancy a change, my last bike had covered in the region of 3000 miles and lasted well, until yesterday.

Think you need stabilisers lol, joking aside hope your ok, i know how it feels to be knocked off ya bike happened to me when i was a racer @ 17yrs old, a women driver ploughed into the side of me tryin to turn into a petrol station... and a double decker bus rear ended me i went over the bars and the only thing that stopped me going under the bus was my bike that got wedged between the bus and me which didn't stop for 30 or so yards driver was Asian and he drove of and left me at the side of the road. Police was involved he claimed not to see me as it was dark 11:30pm

Well, after a bad week, and on saturday it was mine and misses 6th wedding anniversary on sartuday and my wife crashed our family picasso so fingers crossed thats the 3rd and final thing.

also on another note, my bike has been sent back to marin for further tests, and eye witness reckons my frame bent as i was pedalling and the car hit me as i came of my bike, So now it is in the hands of marin and the bike shop as the last time i came of (with a range rover) my bike was put in for a safety check and to make sure the frame was in good condition but it turns out there could of been a slight crack in the frame that has weekend over the last 4 weeks causing my latest acciedent.

Its just a waiting game now, back in work today but in a fair amount of pain and my pain killers don't seem to be working to great just making me feel sick.

You can still make a claim but against the Motor Insurance Bureau which handles those injured in collisions caused by hit and run or uninsured drivers. Best sign up with a solicitor that specialises in cycling related RTAs such as Alyson France solicitors (Bikeline) or CycleAid (Simon Holt and Co. Solicitors). Pay a visit to your GP asap to have your injuries assessed and any necessary treatment commenced. Take pics of your injuries and keep a diary of your pain and suffering. Maybe there was CCTV cameras in the area which could have filmed the offending vehicle?

How about a head cam?
