Two linked problems. My horn has failed and a replacement has not cured the problem. The contacts on the steering wheel seem fine so there is a wiring fault, or is there a relay? I have removed the lower near side of the dashboard and am faced with many relays. How do I know which is which? MalcolmDE

The horn circuit is protected by a specific fuse and controlled by a relay located in the engine bay junction unit.
This is for a 2002 till mid 2006 version
all versions - below

The horn system is supplied via horn relay T03, located in engine bay junction unit B001, via a direct line from the battery protected by control unit fuse F10.

Coil of relay T03 is excited by means of an earth signal when the steering wheel switch is closed. In versions with Air Bags, these connections are via a clock spring on stalk unit H005.
This signal reaches pin 21 of connector C of engine bay junction unit B001.
Relay T03 thus supplies horn P005 from pin 27 of connector C.
Horn P005 is connected to earth C010.
Taken from my service manual on CD
Hope this helps

could anyone please help me to locate the b0001 connector in my neighbours detleffs motorhome, till i get it out of my garden.
i do love fiats but its taking up the whole driveway..

its left hand drive in case this affects what side its on..!

could anyone please help me to locate the b0001 connector
Its in the engine bay on the opposite side to the battery, covered by a square black plastic cover bolted to the base in two places.
Ask the neighbour for the Ducato Owners Manual (or find it on this site). It will show you the location of the box and the location of the fuses and relays in the box.
