Hello,

I'm looking for a steering Column Ducato reference or picture?

The car is having cruise but not the SWC. I've installed the controls but I need the cable between the column switch and the SWC. I would like to know if I simply have to add the cable or if I have to replace the column switches.

Thank you for your help.

I'm still waiting for an answer from Fiat;
In the meantime, I've found a column switch with the option.

What else do I need to activate the SWC on the can-bus?

Thx

Once its all connected, you will need MES and a licence to do proxy alignment, you have to go into MES and the module should show as present but in red, enable it and make changes, then might have to do proxy alignment if its showing in red... then it will work.

Read up on retro fit cruise control :) very easy job if you have original stalk and can bus harness to plug it in :)

Hope this helps.

Hello,

Thanks for the information.
I've a ELM327 and a few software like ELM but I'm not yet familiar with these tools. What MES can you recommend ? Is there a guide somewhere?
I've found the Multiecuscan 3.6 and also the coloured adaptors. I'll probably buy them :O)

I'll check the post concerning cruise control retrofit.

What is proxy alignment?

Cheers,

If you get mes, download it free... you can simulate the procedure for retro fit cruise control... all you need is original parts to plug in and enable the system if it was originally an option on your model

You only need mes and elm for this procedure, adaptors usefull for airbags, roof n other stuff like that :)

Also... you need licence for mes to do lots of premium things like what your doing... proxy alignment is not free im afraid. At least i don't think it is.

I have another question for you guys, specialists.
To install the SWC, is it not only necessary to replace the clock spring squib instead of the full stalk that is not easy to find ?

Hello,

This is what I get by default with MES. It seems that 8 button configuration is the default on my Ducato.
