Hi every one just bought 1988 fiat Ducato kontiki any help or diagrams please to what does what and where all is. So far no dashboard lights when key turned on only battery light , also keeps turning over but not firing ,many thanks to all help please, den
Sorry for delay in reply computer trouble,it's 1900 petrol
if petrol it will be the old 405 peugeot engine probably with distributor as opposed to electronic ignition so problems got to be either petrol or ignition firstly i would check i have a good spark at the plugs if not then check points in dizzie make sure there is a good spark and that the gap is near accurate if that is all ok and still wont fire then check carb main jet make sure its not blocked carb may need complete overhaul. if your not ok with old technology i suggest you find yourself an old fashioned mechanic someone at least fifty years old who may have worked on the old peugeots 305s and 504s. hope this gives you some guidance
