I have a issue with my instrument cluster, it has stopped on 248,601 miles which equates to 400,000 km. I know 4 others that have the same mileage and have stopped working.I spoke to 2 separate cluster repair Companies and they say this is a program Fiat have installed, thus stopping the miles. I have contacted Fiat UK and have registered a complaint and they are ( looking) into it but wouldn't declare anything.
Is there anyone else having this problem so we can battle Fiat together or anyone with advice to tackle Fiat ?

I believe a "proxy alignment" using "multiecuscan" may sort it

Multiecuscan is a software program you can download, there is a payment to use the license
Then you need leads to connect laptop to OBD connector on van
Again plenty of threads on multiecuscan

Whether a garage can perform a proxy alignment I couldn't say, as there are loads of different "code readers" on the market,
But an example of how good multiecuscan is,
My van didn't show the exterior temp on the dash info screen, I checked the mirror had sensor fitted, fiat couldn't "turn it on" they said it was either a bad earth or my van shouldn't have the temp displayed

Plugged multiecuscan scan in, found the option and turned it on

5 mins

Worth the investment also if you eventually do your own oil changes, you can reset the service and oil change intervals

Bizarrely this morning my mileage started flashing again, quick proxy alignment and all good again, typical after mentioning it on here lol

my mileage always flashes but thats because i removed the fiat radio which took a canbus terminator out of the system and mines got 730000kms on it now im a bit disapointed i could have had less kms showing lol Cheers Adam
