| 93 Hymer Fiat Ducato Motorhome.2445 cc D.  Can some one please tell me when the cambelt should be changed? I have an invoice saying it was changed at 28000 miles in 2000, currently it has done 50000 miles. As the only handbook with is in German and I cant read it ! Help will much appreciated. Samcat

| Re: 93 Hymer Fiat Ducato Motorhome.2445 cc D. Hi Mines a 1991 2.5tdi. Cambelt broke in France at 70000 miles-"They all do that at 70000" according to the fitters in the UK. Cost over a grand and a month to sort plus the stress etc. I would have thought that at 8 years old your belt should be changed regardless of the mileage. The Engine centre who rebuilt it also had problems finding the correct head gasket, but maybe that was an excuse for taking so long to fix it. Best of luck with it. Phil
