by replacing the fuel filter
by replacing the fuel filter does it give a bit more power as my van is a bit slow 1.9 diesel or is thia normal taa

The van only does 65 mph if i change the filter should it make AN IMPROVEMENT..
I'm no expert but I would say the problem is not with your fuel filter. Having said that, for the cost of a replacement (less than 20 quid) and a 5 minute job, it's worth doing anyway.
I don't know this particular engine, but it's probably more likely that the injection pump needs setting up, as many have a max speed adjustment on them as well as idle adjustments, etc. It's really a job for a diesel specialist in my opinion.

RIGHT I WILL MAKE NOTE OF THAT I got the fuel filter done yesterday got a bit more power out of her with the new air filter too runs better do the oil next taa for your help
