Retaining single rear seat

I'm converting my 53 plate high roof model into a camper. I want to remove the two seat section from the rear 60/40 split seats, but retain the single seat behind the passenger seat so I can carry another person. I took the two seat section out but it wasn't until I went to drive another passenger that we realised that the seat belt buckle for the single seat is built into the frame of the other two seats, meaning that there is no buckle for the single rear passenger when the others are removed.

Is there an easy (and preferably cheap!) way to solve this? Can I bolt another buckle to the car body somehow (safely and legally), or is this more trouble than it's worth? There is a buckle bolted to the floor at the extreme rear for the wheelchair conversion, which I am removing. Also, searching Google images for "Doblo rear seats", it seems that some newer versions have the buckle built into the single seat frame - would one of these fit into my car?

Many thanks!

Are you sure?

I removed my double rear seat and the single buckle was still there.

Perhaps mine was done different, but surely you can remove the buckle from the double and bolt it to the single!

As long as the seat belt buckle is solid attached to the seat base or the floor, then there is no reason for it to fail an mot.

It only has to act once!

Yep, I'm sure! Mine are this type (I found the photo on ebay):

You can see the two buckles together on the larger seat. I'll see if there are any obvious points to attach a buckle on the car or seat frame - I don't want to be drilling into the body if I can help it as I'm not really very handy with that kind of thing.

Is there any chance you could take a quick snap of the buckle on your seat so I can see how it attaches to the frame?

Thanks for the reply! (y)

I will do as soon as I am back out to the car :)

I checked out your pictures in the other thread and your single chair seems to have another part that mine doesn't - you seem to have a hook part that I assume locates into the body next to the other seats, where there is a thread for the bolt to go - mine has nothing there.

Here are photos of the seat folded and tilted, and the plastic removed (excuse bad photography)

I'd love to hear if there are any other options as this is scuppering my summer camper plans!
