Couple of times this week I've noticed a judder bit like misfire and tonight 3 in a row and the dash lit up with 'engine failure' but the engine keeps running.

A couple of oil spots have appeared on the garage floor as well...

Any ideas folks?

Just checked the error codes, comes up with RPM Sensor failure..

May be the same non starting issue I had earlier with crankshaft sensor error.

Are these two different sensors or just one?

what are the code numbers..??

Oops, sorry deleted them. Think it was 0332?

Just said RPM sensor failure..

The crank sensor measures rpm

Got a new sensor and its sorted.

Took about 10 minutes to change it and haven't had any more problems.

yep, its just under the starter, dead easy to change.
