Recently bought a Doblo cargo 2002 1.9 non turbo, with a running issue , hopefully someone can shed light on the problem.
On the overrun or if you are just progressing say about 30mph there is a kind of misfire, (on a petrol engine it would be a missing spark sort of misfire) , but I drove for 100 miles on the motorway at 70-80 mph and it never missed a beat, not until I came back down to lower speeds and it started this hesitating and "misfiring" again , I also noticed there is a massive amount of oil in the water , but no sign of emulsifying in the oil filler cap , and there is no pressurizing of the water pipes when the engine is running,
can anyone point me in the right direction ?

apparently the oil cooler can get a hairline crack so it pumps oil into the water , bypassed that and it seems to have sorted the oil in the water , does anyone know why it may be missing at low revs/speeds .
