Hi got a 2006 doblo 1.3 and van won't start egnition lights are on but won't fire my neibour said it may be the earth cable would this be right many thanks dan

Well I hope it is. I'm waiting for the AA now as mine won't fire in this cold weather. I've had new glow plugs, and new electronic control box (not necessary) and all the diagnostics, and still it's no good.
I'll take it in to the dealer later and tell them to get it fixed, and look at the earthing, since I need this car for work next week.

I'll take a look at the Panda Trekking too, but I'm not too happy with Fiat right now since this car, otherwise brilliant, is costing me a lot of money - and I don't skimp on maintenance either - and this is the first time in over forty years that I have had a car fail to start!

The AA man was briliant. He told me what Fiat had been unable to. It was the EGR valve - probably. Desira confirmed this an hour after I took it in. Great; £250 to replace - I know, blank it off, go to a cheaper garage.... I need my car back...

Now, do I still feel like buying a new Trekking or shall I save a wad of money and get something three years old, like a Nissan Note for 5/6K, and be done with it?
