I have to take out my Audio Player (original one) from Doblo Malibu 2003. Problem is: how?!
I couldn't find the solution online, I run on this forum, hoping that someone will know...
P.S. Mods, sorry for new topic, I'm in a hell of a hurry... Won't mind if you join this thread with another, just, leave the trail... :)
Thnx...

Tried that with Doblo... Didn't work... Don't know is there some kind of clip back there...

edit: audio is screewed to the dashboard. He ain't coming out some time soon.

Any idea how to clean the laser without disassembling the whole car?

Can get laser cleaners which are basically a cd with some short hairs embedded that supposedly wipe the lense clean, however they won't deal with major crud or tracking problems and you could buy a complete new unit for only a little more. What is the problem with it?
Surprised it won't release, you have to move the prongs outwards which then lever the retaining clips inwards and then hopefully it releases.

Tried it a few times... Even my friend who's changing car players for 10 years tried... That radio ain't goin' no where! :(

BTW, the problem (and the main reason for thread) is that when playing cd- it skips a lot! (It skips so much that it's impossible to listen. And my trip isn't covered with radio signal.)
Yeah, I know, doesn't have anti-shock, but it hasn't skipped this much... When I talked to the previous owner, he said that he never cleaned laser... Wanted to try to fix that, and to fix it cheap.

I'll try to find that "cleaning disc" (totally forgot its existence). If not, I'll seek professional help from local service.
Hope it works...

P.S. It's been a while since my last English communication-please forgive me on my mistakes (if there are any)
:D

i've changed the head unit in mine. From what I remember it was easy, the problem was getting the new stereo to push all the way back into the slot due to all the extra cables etc
