Today I found the left rear side sliding door wouldn't lock after closing and remote control locking.
One of the 4 spring loaded contacts at the bottom of the door was completely bent sideways, the soft metal nearly broken.
After I carefully bent it straight and checked the spring load operation the door locked again after closing. Bending might have been caused by jamming a bag or something in between door and post, which might occur more often. The contact has now completely broken off.
This might seem a small problem, but to me not being able to lock the car doors means a real problem.
Does anyone know whether these contact units can be easily and cheaply replaced?

new contacts are about £35, it comes with door loom but you can simply cut/reconnect the 4 wires at back of contact to save stripping door down etc. Takes 5 minutes, done mine recently:)
Cheers thanks for the info, can these contact be bought online?

J|ust changed both of my sliding door contacts and now both sliding doors don't lock on the remote. Any ideas please?

Cheers

Poor connection? Perhaps you put them back in upside down? I've never done them so don't know if that's possible...

contacts came from a fiat main dealer, didn't solder but replaced the loom, will check the connection though.
