I have just broken the car aerial on my Doblo. Can anyone tell me where i can get a replacement and how do you fit another one. I have had a look at it with great difficulty as for a 5ft tall person i had to stand on the front wheel to do it and the black plastic casing is ok and inside that the metal rod that has snapped in two which connects to the aerial itself and that clips into a bracket. If anyone knows an easy way to replace it please tell me.I have found a place that sells them but not for the doblo but it looks like the seicento aerial i had on my other car. Thanks.

Hi,
Bit late but I have just lost mine west bound M4 by junction 11,
The metal aerial is just screwed into the socket,
Any one finding this can have it:cool:
A replacement was found in the local motor parts shop(y)

i knw that the aerial just screws in to the fitting but its the base the black bit that has broken, i have just looked at the situation and i guess i need to take out the parcle shelf in the front and then unclip the roof protector and i guess that tthe screw is under all that bit, well i am off to go and try now as no one on here can help me, when i have worked it out i will reply with the answer in case anyone elso needs it in the future

ok you change the base of the aerial by unbolting the parcel rack above your head at the front of the car. 4 phillip screws and 4 allen bolts. Then you unclip the interior light wiring so you can drop the parcel shelf down.Next you need to un pop the plastic fittings holding up the upholstery roof protector {sorry i dont know what this is called}, you un pop the front 3 only. Then you need to unclip the rear view mirror cos this will fall of anyway and just protects the glass in case it does. Next you need a rachet and a 8mm socket. The bolt for the base is located under this. Undo that and then get out of the car and go to the outside and just pull the old aerial base out. Replace the new one, bolt it back up. Replace the plastic fittings to secure the upholsetry in the roof. Rescrew up the parcel shelf, i advice you to get someone to help you hold this in place as its heavy doing it on your own and bobs your uncle. Music on the radio playing crisp as ever.

Hi Rick, Thanks for that ver useful post on Doblo arials.

Do you know ehere I can get a new base & an arial.
Thanks for any info.
auzilink.

There is a join/connector halfway down the passenger windscreen pillar, remove the trim and all will be revealed, so it's not a specialist part.

I need to replace my aerial base aswell.

do I need to put any sealent under the base when I bolt it back down or can I
trust the fiat one to do the job and stop my headlining getting soggy ?
