My first post and its a good one,

The rear outer handle has broken and the child lock is on and i cant find any way to open the door. I have removed the trim and inner panel to try and see if i can can get to anything but with no luck.

Does anyone know how to open the door.

Without looking at the car it's difficult to say. If you can't reach the rod that goes to the outer handle, can you reach the inside of the child lock mechanism (if that's possible?) and reactivate the rod that the interior handle operates? Good luck, I recently refitted my front grill and in my haste (it was dark and the lugs wouldn't line up) I forgot to slot the safety release back through the front of the grill! That was't too difficult to rectify, but my knuckles didn't like it very much.

Ok the reason why you are having a bit of a problem is that the locks are cable operated and not rod operated.

What if you removed the exterior handle?

I found out it was a cable and theres no way to get to the ends of it, I did try to remove the handle but i cant reach the second tab.

going to try again today now my hands have healed from the last time !
