My 20v nt has a water leek problem !!!! Firstly, it takes about a litre + per 100 miles, no loss of power, no milky mess in the oil, no signs of leaks, no wet carpets etc...Where should I look first? Any help please...

Firstly check your coolant tank cap, then there's the possibility of when the engines hot, when things expand, the radiator leaks, is it an old rad'? check all the hoses, some are not all that visible... Hope this helps(y)

Tank cap is fine but the water, no matter how many times I change it, looks rusty? Could poss be the rad? Thanks for your info and I'll post any findings.

:yeahthat:

Fill it up and let it get nice hot and toasty and then inspect for leaks etc. Remember theres an under-tray too so you may not get a mess on the road but on the under-tray.

The radiators a renowned for rotting.
Will give it a try. Also, the water, no matter how many times I change it, looks rusty? Could poss be the rad? Thanks for your info and I'll post any findings.

UPDATE... Just emptied the water system out and the water was orange, could be rust from the rad (no antifreeze) could the water be evaporating? Had engine nice and hot 90deg fan kicked in and no visable leaks anywhere? The car has done 99000 and looks like the original rad. Maybe time to change? I'll post more info once sorted...Thanks
