W reg 2000 SPI Sei.
If I fill the tank with more than 12 litres of fuel it smells of petrol both
inside and out of the car. If I keep the level low, it doesn't smell so
it looks like a leaky tank.

Been looking through all the threads on this and I'm just trying to be sure
wether this car would or not come under the recall.
This is the origional tank.

If not, whats a ballpark figure for getting one replaced at a Fiat dealer.

Im 99% sure that you would be able to get a recall on a car of that reg and year.

You can always go to fiat and ask them to check via their computer system

Ball park figure for getting it replaced would be around £300 min

Just checked my ZFA number and mine is ZFA1870000----------
so out of the recall range sadly.

Bet mine has got the same tank that the recalled ones had though

My Sei was out of the range but suffered the same (Sei Sporting, X Reg (very late December)).

Think I was being quoted 90 or so for a new tank.

Well, the tank was holed and it was leaking very close to the exhaust
so in to a Fiat dealer it went.
Didn't come under the recall sadly.

Total cost was £340-62 which included a new tank, 4 sealing gaskets,
8 nuts and a new petrol filter (I asked for that to be replaced)
Also the guy noticed and replaced a leaking drive shaft seal.
Done and dusted in 24 hours turn around.

Will be living off beans for the rest of the week but at least its safe now

Just was the seis mainly however some have had it done on cinqs however fiat themselves werent very cooperative with cinq owners compared to the sei owners.
