At what boost level / RPM did that happen?

Your new engine pic brought back so many memories, I though I was the only one using crappy wire contraptions to set up the camshaft timing :D

So you are/where using a Chinese td05 16g?
Does the fact it's twin scroll really help with lag/ low rpm boost?
Also at what rpm do you shift? 8k-9k?

I am thinking of a turbo upgrade for my t-jet, but i am not going to be going anywhere neat that power... it's still going to be a daily driver, I would love something close to 200 hp.

What do you guys think of the K03 turbo that is stock on the 1.8T VAG cars. The turbine and compressor wheels are a bit bigger that the VL36 turbo . It's also cheaper and easier to find in my region.
Vl36:
turbine inducer: 38-40mm (not sure probability because i have amelted turbine wheel)
turbine exducer: 30mm
compressor inducer: 30mm
compressor exducer: 40mm
K03 from what i can find:
Turbine wheel major diameter: 44mm
Turbine wheel minor diameter (exducer): 37
Compressor wheel major diameter: 44.5
Compressor wheel minor diameter: 31

I would think it's smaller that a TD04 and that is about what i want something in between the td04 and the vl36.

What do you guys think? is the turbo hot side to big..lead to lag?

accelerating in third gear at 5.000 rpm

I use the TD05 Lancer EVO XI oem no Chinese

For 200/220 hp the TD04 are good and no lag, you should Mount cams Punto 1.2 16V mk1 or Lancia Y elefantino rosso.

Cinquecento/seicento are more light are good for lag.

In my cinquecento did not notice differences up to 3.500 rpm to TD04 at TD05, twin scroll is very important for lag.
to 4.000 at 7.000 rpm the difference is much!

Hello guy.
Very nice project, and good score built on the stock engine (y)

Question : Where did you find your exhaust manifold for the twinscroll ?
Perhaps it's a special home made ? :worship:

Can imagine the fire at the front when the rod has broken, no damage on the wiring ?

Bye :D

WOW, two up(?) no helmets, no roll cage(?) and well driven...(and a great video)

Love it that such a little car can go, 'slow' and corner so well.

What brake set up do you have and did you suffer any 'fade' whilst out on the track?

Oh :bang:
Are they ventiled now or not yet ?
I'm use 257mm flat (non ventilated) taken from Punto 16v non sporting, it's ligher thant ventilated, I'm just 100hp '1.4 16v , but until now 0 problem using carbone lorraine brak pads.

Now i use 257mm ventilated with ferodo DS2500, no problem of fading

I'm trying to make grade 257mm x 26mm with 4 pot capiler

Just finish putting pictures
