Hi,

I'm looking for a new induction kit for my Cinque. I'm not looking for roar (car already has enough but for more torque.
According to GSR their system would be ideal (as they claim a lot more torque around 3000), but they have two different kinds. Which is best one from GSR or is the an alternative.

And now here are my experiences with airliters/ induction kits:
- k&n in standart box: no change beside you don't have to change it
- Novitec Carbon Airbox (isn't fitting anymore after 1242 conversion): nice deep sound but I'm not sure if there is a power gain (Novitec claims 4hp), but it doesn't loose power either

Write down you experiences

Not got an induction kit, coz mines still under warranty, but i have fitted an ITG direct replacement filter, and it works really well, drives much better IMO. Its still no ferrari dont get me wrong, but you can tell the difference.
I've heard the standard induction is crap on our engine and an induction kit makes a big difference :)
hope that helps a bit

i currently have a k&n induction kit..the roar is there and its done a nice job of killing the 3k flat spot.

Its however a little knackered, its in serious need of a really good clean (day off tomorrow! :) ) and i am considering replacing it with the GSR F1 kit. The it looks better placed to receive cold air than my current kit (i do have a cold air duct..but its a bit naff). And imo, the GSR kit looks the bees.. so why not :)

I'd say that most replacement induction kits will allow for more torque at 3k as eliminating that flat spot is the main reason for replacing the standard air box

Cinq Sporting - and yes, its broom yellow!

arc,

let me know (after the change to the gsr product) if it was worth the money. Will drive around with standart box and k&n panel for the winter and save up some money for the "best" kit (but which is the best?).

il let you know once ive done the swap, but its not going to be for a bit - new brakes are on the list first

i have a green induction kit with massive cold air feed and works brilliantly. if ur changing ur airbox for an induction kit, give the area around the injector a good cleaning cause it will make a difference
