just modified my induction system for the last time!

took of the old restricive cinq 899cc tb top with the cold air ram pipe and crappy filter and i have just made a corsa 1200cc throttle body top fit my sei 1108, with a nice length of blue silocon hose leading to a jetex response air filter off a nissan skyline r32 gts-t, made one hell of a difference, sounds lovely, goes better up the top end - a lot better

well if its more power and torque that ya want then ya try different things, if its bull5h1t following of manufacturer parts then carry on, if something gives more power then why right it off just because its from another manufacturer

why do you think the existing top was restrictive?
GSR induction kits use it with great results

do you mean the whole TB top, ie with injector in it - or just the bob?

I think he means 'bob', I work on Corsas and the top of the TB wouldn't fit a cento.

Next intention is to name the throttle body the tony, bob sits on tony.

well the old 899cc "bob" had too small an intake, the corsa intake is about 10mm larger, also the "bob" has a larger area of air for the initial supply of air when you plant your boot from low revs, it has significantly increased torque low down and has supplied more than enough air at top revs. all in all a good mod.

a bit of a tw*t to fit because all the holes are in the wrong place so i reverted to the old tiger seal, sealed up all of the original holes using parts of an old cam belt and sealent, then i used tiger seal to "stick" the bob to the tb, like 5h1t to a blanket! fantastic!

I think a tb swap would be easier, or you could enlarge the stock unit. I still stand that the actual name is hat, the plenum is after the tb and is used INSTEAD of an intake manifold.

not instead of an intake manifold, but the plenum chamber is a part of the TB really - its after the fuel has been added. Thats what i always thought.

Bob isnt a plenum chamber as theres not fuel going in there - unless you have a turbo and are injecting extra fuel in there

Not really, there are three ways i remember right now;
-individual runners
-intake manifold
-intake plenum

The plenum is usually part of the intake (Fiats are)
