as i posted before, Im getting a random flat spot every now and then around 2000k - 3000k and the cinq is being generaly sluggish.

it was suggested before that it was defiantly the lambda going. but ive changed that now. and it was also suggested that the map was gone... but ive changed thta too.

problem is still there.

as far as i can see, the problem cant be a faulty sensor like the lambda or the map because the problem would be constant.. surely? or maybe im wrong.

but anywya, im getting a new set of ignition coils too (well there second hand but working proper).

anyone any ideas what else could be wrong?

Hi,
You could check the map sensor by disconnecting the engine end of the pipe with the engine running(revs should drop a little), suck through the pipe(revs should pick up), if it does this its generally working.......

ps. clean the pipe before putting it in your mouth :yuck:

Thanks

Hi,
You been arround the engine and checked all the general conection type things, battery connectors, earth connectors, ecu connectors etc, a lot of salt has been dumped on the road cos of the winter weather and something could have corroded slightly........

Does the car idle ok...?

Thanks

Hi,
If you got a spare fuel pump relay, try changing it for while and see if the problem changes at all....

Thanks
