I bought a Seicento Sporting Abarth last teusday and I have two problems.
The starter hangs some times.
I know the last owner replced the starter twice and the car recently got a new ignition barrel.
I thinks it must have something to to with the ignition barrel as the starter stays on even after the key has been pulled out.
Result, a fried fuse.
I want to resolve this by placing a starter button on the dashboard so I don;t have to turn the key anymore. Good idea or not?
Now the big issue.
I though the handrake was stuck.
So I put the car on a bridge and checked them out.
The brak on the rear right is in very bad shape.
Block are stuck and can't get them loos.
Handbrake cable is stuck.
Bearings on both sides are worn.
Now I want to replace the whole thing on the back of the car.
New wishbones
New brakes
Maybe new brake shoes
But I can't find everything.
On the wishbone is a round plate that houses the brake components like the hydrolic cilinder that pushed the brake pads outwards.
What is that called and were to find them?
Do I need to renew the hydrolic cilinder as well?
Or can I get it off without bleeding the brake fluid?
I want to replace the circkeld parts (so everything)
Anyone can help me out of how the parts are called and were to get them?
Would be great?
